Posted by AME on Friday, July 24, 2009 , under |

One of the easiest loans to get is a used car loan as your car is mortgaged against the loan you have taken. Getting a car loan with bad credit is possible as many moneylenders offer this types of loan against car guarantee and if you fail to reimburse than they have right to sell it to get their money back. These types of loans are usually taken by people having poor credit history. Ways to get bad credit auto finance are:

Online moneylenders

Always search for moneylenders online for a bad credit car loan as there are many of lenders providing loan at very low rates against your car. Search for as many lenders possible to get the best deal. Analyze loans offered by different money lending agencies, look for one who offers low interest rates, gives you a significant loan, number of installments to repay loan and specifically have no hidden cost involved to reduce your loan cost.

Have good payment records

Before wishing to get a used car financing you should have a good payment record for past few months. This greatly increases your chance of getting a loan. Money lending agencies looks at your past records before giving you loan. On time payment records enhances lenders trust on you and helps in getting a quick loan against your car. If you do not have a good past record in making timely payments than you really have to convince a lender to approve loan, but chances of it are very less.

Have a loan of lesser amount than car price

Lenders will readily provide you a bad credit car financing if you want a loan of lesser amount than your car price. This ensures that even if you do fail to pay back they can recover money they owe you by selling your car.

Go for a Used Car

In this troubled times, rather than buying a new car go for a used car as they are cheap. You can easily get loans of fewer amounts and there are many lenders providing used car loans. So used car is a better option when you need bad credit car finance.

Auto Insurance: What You Need to Know

Posted by AME on , under |

Everyone needs the security of auto insurance even if never actually need to use it. Auto insurance protects you and the person you may someday have a collision with. So what do you need to know as you start researching auto insurance quotes?

Before you choose your auto insurance company, make sure the company is reputable. Look for companies with a good reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Through the BBB, you can check to see if the company has had any complaints filed against it. How have these issues been resolved?

When deciding on your auto car insurance company, you can also begin some of the work they will be doing yourself. These companies will begin your file by doing a credit check (something you can do online) and discovering how many car accidents you may have had.

Shop carefully for an agent. Inquire about his or her experience. In some states, agents only need one week of training! The real pros have gone to school to get industry credentials. Look for the following: CPUC stands for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters and AAI stands for Accredited Adviser in Insurance. The first requires 1000 hours of study; the second requires 100 hours.

There are several ways to make sure you get your biggest bang for your automobile insurance buck. You need to think about liability, collision, comprehensive and deductibles.

Begin by using your car insurance dollars to your best advantage. Spend the majority of your money on the things that could wipe you clean out. You might be able to handle a $500 deductible by a $500,000 lawsuit would be an entirely different matter. Don't carry a low deductible. Raise it, instead. And do carry much more than the minimum when it comes to liability coverage. This formula should insure that your premiums will stay roughly the same. What do you save in premiums? How much risk do you take on? The one exception may be when it comes to young people who generally have a low net worth. Being sued would not be an enormous issue. Honest, reputable auto insurance agents should be able to help you balance the equation.

Automobile insurance agents should suggest another way to save on your premiums. If you have health insurance already, it should cover and medical bills you incur. Why pay twice?

Check out online auto insurance. FreeAutoRater.com is a great place to compare the best automobile insurance quotes on the Internet. Auto insurance ratesvary so take your time. An online Auto insurance quote looks at the details and the big picture.

An Automobile insurance quote can and should look at more than just your total liability. Many people mistakenly believe, for example, that $300,000 in liability provides for $300,000 for each injured person, not $300,000 in total liability. Make sure your automobile insurance company agent writes a policy that gives you a total amount of liability per person, not just per total liability.

Free auto insurance is not possible but free Auto insurance quotes are readily available. A site such as FreeAutoRater.com can help you with free insurance quotes. Sites like this are perfect in your quest for cheap Auto insurance.

Before beginning your auto insurance search also consider looking for an umbrella policy. You can often buy one for both your home and your car. Umbrella policies can give you $1 million in coverage for between $200 and $300 per year.

Seven types of guys women can't resist

Posted by AME on Friday, July 17, 2009 , under |

Always wondered why some guys always manage to get the best of girls? Well, the secret is not good looks or a well-defined six pack, but the fact that women simply get attracted to certain personality traits and flock to men who possess them.

Below are seven of these "ideal types" of guys that women are drawn to, and an explanation as to why these guys are so appealing, reports Fox News.

The list could help you understand what women are looking for, and most importantly, to make sure that you fit the bill.

1. The Romantic Guy

He believes in classic romance. He is constantly bringing her flowers and chocolate and lighting candles during dinner. He calls her often to let her know he is thinking about her and looks into her eyes and tells her how he feels.

Why he is so irresistible: A woman loves to feel appreciated, and the romantic guy makes this happen. He uses romantic gestures to show her he is thinking about her. As an added bonus, she feels free to reciprocate and act on her own romantic tendencies.

2. The Confident Guy

He is totally secure and sure of himself. He is assertive in public and gives off an aura of power and control. In a relationship, he doesn't get jealous of other men; he doesn't feel threatened by his girlfriend's male friends or co-workers.

Why he is so irresistible: Women are attracted to confident men. Consider this: If you think you are great, she will probably be influenced to think the same. The confident man doesn't seek approval from women, and this makes them want him even more.

3. The Artistic Guy

The artistic guy is spontaneous and lives for the moment. Often, he will use his creativity to woo her, such as with a song he has written about her or a painting he has made for her.

Why he is so irresistible: Every woman wants to feel unique and special. There is no better way to make her feel this way than to use her as your muse or your source of inspiration. She is intrigued by the artistic guy's creative mind and especially by the way he incorporates her into his art.

4. The Foreign Guy

He comes from a faraway exotic country and he might have a cute accent or a unique way of seeing the world. His social customs and everyday behaviour can be a little quirky, but he always manages to come off as uniquely charming.

Why he is so irresistible: Women often choose this kind of guy if they are curious about the world, but most of the appeal comes down to a fascination with dating someone from another culture.

5. The Free Spirit Guy (aka the Bad Boy)

The free spirit guy goes where the wind takes him - and the wind usually takes him on some kind of wacky adventure. He might ride a motorcycle, or he might skip work to take her on a last-minute road trip, but this guy doesn't worry too much about the consequences- he just sees where his own devices take him.

Why he is so irresistible: Every woman wants a bit of a rebel. She loves his carefree attitude and hopes that it will rub off on her too. The bad boy spirit adds an element of youthfulness to the relationship and she loves to try taming him, although she knows she'll never actually succeed.

6. The Intelligent/Witty Guy

He instigates conversations that are intellectually stimulating and listens to what she has to say in response. He makes her laugh with his clever sense of humour and has an uncanny ability to make politics interesting. He can shoot the breeze with her for hours and it will never get boring.

Why he is so irresistible: An intellectual connection is a big part of what sustains a relationship and if you can show her that you've got that, she'll be hooked pretty quickly.

7. The Considerate Guy

He holds open her car door and pulls out her chair. He foots the bill for dinner and makes sure to offer her dessert. He always asks her out with reasonable notice and picks her up at her door. He is generally sensitive to how she is feeling and when she is ready to go home.

Why he is so irresistible: Once a woman has gone through her share of the bad guy, the rude guy and the not-calling-her-back guy, she will likely re-evaluate her priorities. It takes a bit of maturity on her part to realize this, but eventually most girls come around and realize that they want a guy who will treat them well in the long run.

But, think twice before copying any of the above character types, for women can know when you are faking it.

Having Trouble Paying Your Bills? How the Government Can Help You

Posted by AME on , under |

In this economy more and more people and families are having difficulties making ends meet. The worse off are very close to poverty and need desperately to find some help. Many of these struggling families are unaware of all the sources of potential additional income available to them. One avenue that many people in financial trouble overlook is the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) overseen by the federal government.

The EITC program is one of the United State's primary anti-poverty programs, even though most people know nothing about it. It was originally created in the mid seventies to help struggling families cope. but now, each year, millions of available dollars in the program go unclaimed, even though thousands of families would qualify for the program if they only knew of it's existence. According to the IRS, many families could increase their net income by a third simply by taking advantage of this program.

The Earned Income Tax Credit is a refundable federal income tax credit for low and moderate income working families. It was created primarily to reduce the amount of taxes paid by the working poor in an effort to help them to move towards income self-sufficiency. If a family qualifies, they could be eligible for a tax reduction as well as supplemental dollars.

The main criteria for qualifying is that the family's income must be "earned", hence the name of the program. You must be employed by a company and earn wages. In other words, if your income is based primarily on interest from investments, stock dividends, and so on, you probably do not qualify. Your qualification is also based on how many dependents you support. But, since the rules periodically change, it's best to check with a tax professional to determine if you currently qualify. Alternatively, their are websites that you can go to that contain calculators you can use to determine if you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit and, if so, how much.

There are additional rules as well. In fact, one of the main barriers to applying for the EITC is that through the years, the application process has become so byzantine and complex that thousands of families that do know about the program either don't try or give up in frustration after trying a few times.

But there are independent organizations out there that will help families to apply for an EITC. One such organization is the United Way. Many of their local offices will provide free tax preparation and access to the Earned Income Tax Credit and other tax credits to help working families increase their incomes and create savings.

The program is a win-win for many states as well. By taking advantage of the EITC, families are less likely to become homeless which would push the burden of caring for them to the states. In addition, the EITC helps to provide an economic stimulus to local communities. The Earned Income Tax Credit money that the homeowners receive is almost certain to be spent in the local stores, banks, restaurants, and so forth.

The EITC program can potentially be a life saver for many families that are barely surviving week to week. Even if you applied for it a year or two ago and were rejected, its worth trying again. Your circumstances may have drastically changed so that now you are eligible for the program.

The Best Way to Reduce Your Credit Card Debt

Posted by AME on , under |

For a while now, we've been a country driven by credit. So much so, that when we purchase items , we will without thinking offer to buy it with a credit card, even if we don't have to. As a consequence of this we have been slowly drawn further and further in debt to the credit card companies. It often occurs so gradually that we don't notice it until it's too late. We one day awaken and abruptly realise that we have accumulated thousands of dollars or more in credit card bills. And if not resolved, we can soon find ourselves working the rest of our lives paying interest on items we bought years ago. If you don't want to end up in that situation, you'd better come up with a plan to pay off your credit card bills today. Here are a few tips to help you.

The most important thing that you can do to reduce credit card debt is to stop adding on to it - now. The popular Will Roger's quote, "if you find yourself in a hole - the first thing to do is stop digging" very much applies here. Most people, if they stop to think before they buy something with a credit card will realize that it is something that they can probably do without. And if you are deep in depth, it's probably best to do without or figure out some other way to pay for it. If you continue to charge non-essential items on your credit cards, you are simply digging yourself deeper into debt.

Secondly, you need an organized method of paying off your debt. One of the best ways is to organize your credit card bills by interest, highest to lowest, and concentrate on first paying off the balance with highest rates. The majority of people in this country lack a basic understanding of interest rates and how important they are. A difference in an annual interest of a mere 1% can make a difference of thousands of dollars over the life span of your loan. But the even worst part is that you are paying off the loan in after tax dollars - money that you've already paid taxes on. So, if you pay $150 a month in interest on your credit card, and you are in the 25% income tax bracket, you had to actually earn $200 of income to make that payment. This deadly combination of taxes and high interest rates are perpetually working against anyone trying to pay off a large credit card debt. That's why it's urgently important to pay off the highest interest cards first. If you do this faithfully and continuously every month, you'll slowly begin to see the balance drop down off of that card.

It's possible that with your current income, you discover that there's no way that you can begin paying down your credit card debt. In this case, the best thing to do is to try to find a part time job with the intent of using all the money you bring in to pay off your credit card debt. It's true that working a part time job for six months or so will definitely put a strain on your time but it's a short term strain. The good thing, however, is that once you're done with your part time job you'll discover to your relief that your financial life has suddenly become far less stressful. With each card that you pay off you can breath a little easier because you no longer have to come up with the large sums of money to pay your monthly credit card bills.

Apply for a Credit Card Online the Safe Way

Posted by AME on Friday, July 3, 2009 , under |

Credit cards are widely used by many people because of the great number of conveniences it offers, this is most especially with the working professionals. But unlike before, you can now apply for a credit card online. With the help of the Internet, making an application online is very much possible.

Credit card is a card given to a specified holder who is entitled with a credit line. With a credit card, its holder can withdraw cash or make purchases on credit. After a specified period, the amount charged will be paid by the holder. An interest charges are also applied where applicable, and some banks make annual fee charges.

The use of a credit card gives a lot of people convenience most especially if they don't have cash on hand. Just in case they need to make emergency purchases, or withdrawals; the credit card is always handy.

Many people, however, are reluctant to make any application online. And this is true especially when it comes to credit card applications. Most people think that it is quite unsafe to make such private application online.

This is the most common misconception because applying for a credit card online is very much safe as making an application in a bank. Why? because your application form (for a credit card) is secure, and you are directly applying with the bank.

Different issuing banks have their very own websites, and they provide secure application forms. There are 'middlemen' on the net, but their job is simply to refer prospective clients to the issuing bank's website.

So you just have to make sure that you're filling out a secured application form. Most of todays browsers are SSL equipped, so that all-important information is sent encrypted to the issuing bank.

The fact remains that there are also a lot of scammers on the net; just to be sure, never send any number, especially that of a credit card or SSN, through email because it is unsafe. Any information sent through unencrypted forms is unsafe. As an applicant, you have to be alert, and very careful.

How do you make an online application? First, you have to choose among many credit card issuers. And in doing such transaction, you must be of legal age, which is 18 years old and above.

Most applications are easily processed if the applicant has an email address, driver's license, employer details, and other things which pertain to your salary/wages and employment or source of income.

Employer details include the name of the employer, address and telephone number. If you have existing loans, you should also provide information about it, it can be a personal debt or a personal loan. Most credit card issuing banks will require you to provide them with details about your present credit card, current balances, and credit limits.

There are also banks which would require you to provide information about your current assets which includes your house, investment properties, bank accounts, vehicles, and shares. Others also ask for the national identification number or NIN.

Upon submission of the application form, you can wait for a few seconds or minutes to have your application confirmed. If you have a good credit rating, you're application will be approved soon. Usually, it would take about three to five days before you get your credit card.

Having a credit card entails responsibility. You must have a good credit reputation; otherwise, you will find it hard to secure a credit card the next time you apply for it.

The Top 3 Pitfalls of Misunderstanding Promotional Interest Rates

Posted by AME on , under |

Perhaps you are thinking about getting a credit card. You have gotten a few offers in the mail that say they have great interest rates. You might not be sure just exactly how great they are, especially a few months down the road, or if you happen to make a late payment on that card.

Doing a little research on just how much interest you will be paying in such cases would be of great benefit to you. Understanding how interest rates work and getting the specifics on the offers you are getting is important if you want to go into this with no surprises or extra expenses.

The Top 3 Pitfalls

1. Getting a low interest rate in one way, and sky high rates in another.

In some cases, low interest rates only apply to one aspect of your credit card. Take balance transfer offers, for example. Sometimes people think that it would be more beneficial to them if they transfer all the balances of their existing credit cards onto a card that has a low interest rate.

In many cases, it is beneficial to do so, but before they do, they need to know for sure if that low interest rate is going to stay low. Perhaps they may think that the interest rate applies to the balance transfer, when in actuality it only applies to new purchases on that card.

2. Store-bought and interest free...sort of.

Let's say you want to buy a dishwasher. You go to the store and find out that there is one on sale, and even better, if you buy it with your credit card that is specified to that store, you get 0% interest for the first six months, and you do not even have to make a payment until that six months is up. Great!

Only there's one problem that they probably didn't tell you about. Once you have passed the six months, the interest rates sky rocket to a number that would instantly turn down had you known that was what you were going to pay in the first place. Unfortunately, too many people neglect to investigate just what possibilities there are of raised interest rates, leaving them paying way more than they thought they would ever have to.

3. Such good things seldom last.

Misunderstanding the time frame in which you will be able to take advantage of low interest rates is a huge drawback. Make sure you know exactly how much your interest rate will increase if there is an expiration date, or what it will be if you happen to pay your bills late. Knowing the penalties of the mistakes you make and just how much you will be paying when the expiration date passes will leave you with peace of mind and no surprise increases.

When you go to get a credit card, make sure you know what you're getting into. There are too many people today who misunderstand interest rates and end up paying the consequences in full.

2 Things To Do In 30min To Raise Your Credit Scores 40-100 Points

Posted by AME on , under |

Let me start off by saying that understanding how the three major credit bureaus arrive at your credit score is one of the most powerful pieces of knowledge you can have. Most likely this is not something that you have ever been taught. In fact, when it comes to your credit scores, the three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Transunion, run sort of a "black box" operation.

To explain what makes up your credit score in as simple terms possible, this is how it works

Your Payment History (35%) Makes up the largest factor in determining your score. This is a picture of how you pay your bills.

Credit Utilization 30%: The percentage of available credit used. Keeping your account balances below 50% of the available credit limit will maximize your scores. For the purpose of this article, this is where we will find the most room to quickly increase your scores.

Credit History 15%: A more seasoned account carry more weight than one that was just opened.

Inquiries 10%: When you apply for credit, an inquiry is made to your credit. If you have too many inquiries, your score can be negatively effected.

Credit Types In Use 10%: The number of accounts in use, and the type of credit accounts. Finance company accounts are of the lowest value, and too many of them can cause a negative effect on your scores.

Ok, now we have some powerfull knowledge. It's time to put it to use with 2 things we can do in about 30 minutes to increase our credit scores...

Increase your credit limits: This is actually easier than you think. It is truly remarkable what will be granted to you simply for the asking. What I want you to do is simply call each of your credit card companies and ask them to increase your credit limit. One technique you might also use is to tell them you are doing some financial house-cleaning and are considering getting rid of the card and using one with a higher limit and better interest rate, unless they can give you a better offer. In my experience, I have found this to be successfull 100% of the time.

Here is an example of what can be achieved. You have a credit card with a balance of $4,000 and a limit of $5,000. This means you are 80% utilized. After using the above technique, your limit is raised to $6,500. Now you are only 62% utilized. Immediately your credit scores have increased. Keep in mind that we want to ideally keep our balances at 50% or lower compared to our credit limits. This segways to the next tip.

Lowering your balances to add more points. Continued from the above example, you are now utilized at 62% on your credit card. What this means is that you still have room to further increase your scores. If you coule put just $750 on this credit card, you could bring the current balance to 50% of your new credit limit ($6,500 credit limit, with a balance of $3,250). You might be saying that you don't have $750 to put down on your credit card. Ok, you could stop right here, since you already increased your scores, and you can most likely get the limit raised for all your credit card accounts. However, if you are trying to buy a home, or a new car, you can potentially save thousands, or even tens of thousands in interest on that new loan and even get a lower monthly payment, just by paying a little down on your current accounts. When that results in higher credit scores, you may qualify for much better loan terms. In one case, a client paid down $450 on one credit card and was able to increase their scores so they could purchase their new home with zero down, instead of the $5,200 required down payment they were previously facing.

If you use these powerful techniques, you are sure to increase your scores quickly and easily. I have seen it work over and over. One recent client was able to increase their credit scores by 105 points after getting the credit limits raised on all three of their credit cards in less than 30 minutes. You have nothing to lose by making a couple calls.

Keep in mind that these techniques work best for those who have a good credit history, and at least 3 open, established credit accounts. For those with more challenged credit or a negative credit history, a more aggressive approach and credit repair strategies may be more appropriate.

Computer Viruses for Joe Bloggs

Nowadays computers are part of everyday life, and sit along with eating and sleeping as something we all do every day, and although they provide a wealth of information at our fingertips, a way to make jobs which would take hours take minutes, and of course a great source of entertainment, they are not without their frustrating moments, one of these being of course the computer virus.

We've all heard of them, whether it be in the latest company newsletter about the virus attacking your bosses hard drive, or in the news that the latest computer bug will destroy all life as we know it, the computer virus can be an annoying thing, and whether we know it or not, most of us have ‘contracted' a virus on our PC at some point, but how much do we know about them? For the large majority of computer users a computer virus is something for the ‘Tech Guy' to deal with, and apart from installing anti-virus software there's little we can, or can be bothered, to do.

A computer virus is basically a computer program that has the ability to copy itself and ‘infect' a computer without the owner telling it to do so, or even being aware. The term "virus" is also commonly but wrongly used to refer to other types of malicious software such as malware, adware, and spyware programs. A virus in the true sense of the word can only spread from one computer to another when it is taken there, whether that's over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable medium such as a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB drive. Viruses often increase their chances of spreading to other computers by infecting files on a network file system.

Anti spyware programs

There are millions of internet scams available. With so many people going to the same sources for information, it has become relatively easy over the past few years to integrate spyware into programs so hackers and thieves can track your moves on the internet.

Certain types of spyware can be referred to as tracking cookies. These cookies are small bits of encrypted text that companies place on your hard drive every time you visit their website. They can then review other websites you have visited, how long you have spent visiting particular websites, and whether or not you purchased items from particular websites. If this idea of tracking your internet activity gives you kind of a creepy feeling, you are not alone. For this reason, there are a lot of different types of anti spyware programs available.

What these programs do is clear your hard drive of any tracking cookies that may have been placed on your drive during an internet session. It almost seems to be a kind of "big brother" in which every move you make is being watched. Scam artists use certain kinds of spyware to access your bank and personal information, if you frequently use those websites during internet sessions. Removing tracking cookies is something that can be done relatively easily. There are programs which help you remove spyware from your computer.

Some of the more advanced spyware programs will automatically block cookies from being encrypted onto your drive at all. Some will allow you to remove cookies with a quick scan after each internet session whilst others run regularly at a set time, chosen by you, to ensure spyware programs are run at a somewhat regular interval.

Spyware isn't necessarily a bad thing. Companies first used it to be able to target banner ads and other advertisements directly to the user on the internet. They become an issue when there is a lot of information encrypted onto a hard drive. The computer can then begin to run slowly, and cause more errors. It can also be considered an invasion of privacy.
